Prof. Dr. Christopher Lange has explained: (1) the stem cell basis of organismal ageing and post-irradiation survival, (2) polarity control; shown that: (3) DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) are reparable and their rejoining kinetics predict irradiated cell survival, (4) polymer theory and his clustered loop model explain mammalian chromosome behavior and (5) has developed (and patented) the Hybrid Spheroid Assay, which measures the sensitivity of individual patient CSCs to proposed therapies, to be able to individualize patient treatments and speed anti-cancer agent development. Radiation Oncology and Breast Cancer

Shahla Masood is currently a Professor and Chair of the Department of Pathology at University of Florida College of Medicine, Jacksonville and Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Shands Jacksonville. She is also the Director of the Pathology Residency Training Program, as well as Cytopathology and Breast Pathology Fellowship Training Program. In addition, she is the Medical Director of Shands Jacksonville Breast Health Center. An Internationally Recognized Expert in Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Prognosis, she has fostered the concept of an integrated multidisciplinary approach in breast cancer care, research and education. She has recently been appointed to chair a committee of the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) to initiate and explore the possibilities of expansion of this program to international level.

Dr. Nicolini graduated (summa cum laude) at School of Medicine, University of Pisa in 1974. He received postgraduate diplomas at University of Pisa in Internal Medicine (1980), Pneumology (1984), and Nuclear Medicine (1986). His research interests include breast and gastrointestinal cancer and their metastases, tumour markers, post-operative follow-up, physiopathology, immunology and immunotherapy of cancer, and thyroid tumours.
